Vids Are Alright 2017 #4: (Sandy) Alex G “Bobby”

Narrative is dead. Or is it? The non-linear elements in "Bobby" comprise of mixed visual media including marionettes and animation loops. Vans are driven; bikes are ridden. The Alex G band performs with a new front person who seems so immersed in the music that he forgets to sing anything. It's a specific and enchanting combination recalling the short lived Jancee Dunn / Chris Booker era of 120 Minutes or something MTV2 would have rotated heavily between 1998-1999.
