Here's a positive one. It's a positive day today.

Partially to wipe away the negativity of our 500 Worst but mostly in response to Paste's list, we got annoyed enough to throw this together.

We get lots of emails from Paste. Like, A LOT. And it's usually in the morning, and there's usually a megalist buried in each one somewhere, and then we continue laying in bed to quickly swipe through the whole thing. We feel like their choices are perpetually 2013 coded. Like no one ever told them that it's not 2013 anymore and it's ok to expand beyond Basic Pitchfork Canon Indie-Rock 101. It's ok to like more than 2 metal bands and admit that Los Campesinos was twee and boring.

Their list has no Metallica or My Bloody Valentine. Ours has 4 Metallicas and 8 MBVs. And maybe 11 Prince songs. Because it just feels accurate.
